Our Privacy Principles

Taskio collects information reasonably required to operate the website, respond to inquiries, coordinate services, process business records, administer our 1-Year Workmanship Warranty, and maintain security. We do not sell or rent personal customer information to data brokers.

1. Information We Collect

Contact and Booking Information: name, telephone number, email address where provided, service address, city, requested service details, appointment preferences, and project specifications.
Customer Communications: information you provide by phone, email, SMS, booking forms, or during service coordination.
Payment and Transaction Records: invoices, receipts, transaction totals, and payment status. Full payment-card numbers are not stored on our website servers.
Technical Information: standard server and security logs may include IP address, browser/device information, request timestamps, and diagnostic information.

2. Website Storage and Technical Data

Taskio uses Google Tag Manager as the website’s tag-management layer. Tags configured in Google Tag Manager may support analytics or advertising measurement and may process technical information such as device/browser details, page interactions, referral information, and request timestamps according to the active tag configuration and applicable privacy settings. Standard hosting and security infrastructure may also process IP address and diagnostic request information.

3. How We Use Information

Prepare quotes, respond to inquiries, schedule appointments, and dispatch technicians.
Provide service communications, invoices, and appointment updates.
Administer our 1-Year Workmanship Warranty.
Maintain accounting, tax, insurance, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, and business records.
Protect the website and investigate technical or security problems.

4. Service Providers and Sale of Information

We Do Not Sell Customer Information

Taskio does not sell or rent personal customer information to data brokers.

Operational Service Providers

Information may be processed by providers that help us operate the website and business, including cloud hosting, transactional email, telecommunications, and payment services. Providers receive information only as reasonably necessary for the relevant service and are subject to their own security and privacy obligations.

5. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal, tax, accounting, warranty, insurance, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution requirements.

BC PIPA: where information is used to make a decision that directly affects an individual, Taskio retains the information for the period required by applicable British Columbia privacy law so the individual has a reasonable opportunity to obtain access.
CRA and Business Records: financial and supporting business records are generally retained for at least six years from the end of the relevant tax year, or longer where required by law.
Warranty Administration: relevant service specifications and communications may be retained as needed to administer our 1-Year Workmanship Warranty and related business obligations.
Deletion or Anonymization: when information is no longer reasonably required, it is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized as appropriate.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Website communications use HTTPS/TLS encryption.

7. Your Privacy Choices and Requests

You may contact Taskio to ask about personal information we hold, request access or correction where applicable, or make a privacy-related request. Deletion requests remain subject to records we must retain for legal, tax, warranty, security, or contractual reasons.
